Expanded carbaporphyrinoids

Expanded carbaporphyrinoids are considered a subgroup of expanded porphyrins which incoporate structural motifs that introduce carbon atom(s) into the macrocyclic cavity. They have shown various interesting properties, such as unique reactivity, complex conformational equilibria, anion-binding properties and conformation-dependent stereodynamic properties.
